1. Choose what genre is in synchronization with your style of singing. Some people are just unaware of their own style of singing but are good when they replicate a select few artists. That is an indication that your genre is similar to those artists. Don’t run after what you want or like more. Not all have the vocal range to sing rock songs like Metallica. Stay in your genre and improve.
2. Develop your own style and don’t copy any one. Copying is good for casual college performances but try to bring your signature in singing. 3. Learn instruments of your choice. Musicians record their music along with instruments and it becomes important to understand the functioning of it on the music theory. If you sing on G note the instruments have to be aligned with it as well. Having an understanding of the instruments allow you to get a better idea of how the music will sound and not just the A-Capella since it is not complete.
4. Set your mind for success. Don’t be doubtful about yourself as it has no place. Most artists who struggle to get their break are dubious about themselves and their capacity.
